Cookie Policy

How this website uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can manage optional preferences.

Last updated: 2 November 2026

DRAFT FOR REVIEW — The cookie interface is included as a starting point. Complete a cookie and storage audit, verify blocking before consent and add the final provider inventory before launch.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files or similar technologies stored on or accessed from your device. They can support website operation, remember preferences and help understand how a website is used.

How GeoReach currently uses storage

The current starter website stores your cookie preferences in your browser's local storage so the preference can be remembered. This preference record is not an analytics cookie.

No analytics or advertising provider is enabled in this starter project. Analytics configuration is intentionally left disabled until a provider is selected and consent controls are reviewed.

Cookie categories

Strictly necessary technologies support core website functions and cannot be switched off through the preference interface.

Analytics technologies may measure visits and interactions. They should remain disabled unless and until the relevant consent has been obtained.

Functional technologies may remember optional settings. Marketing technologies may be used to measure or personalise marketing. Neither category is enabled by default in this starter project.

Managing your preferences

You can use the Cookie settings control in the website footer area to reopen the preference panel. You can accept all optional categories, reject optional categories or customise your choices.

The current preference panel is a starter implementation. Before launch, verify that every non-essential script, tag, pixel and third-party storage mechanism is technically blocked until valid consent is recorded.

Third-party services

The map preview uses OpenStreetMap raster tiles by default. When map tiles are requested, the user's browser connects to the tile service and may disclose technical information such as IP address. Review the tile provider's terms and privacy information before production use.

If analytics, advertising, embedded media, geocoding or other third-party services are added, this policy and the consent categories must be updated to identify the providers, purposes, storage duration and relevant links.
